Beauty | My current basic make up routine

Hi there !

Every time I do my make up I use the same base products and I thought it would be nice to share those products with you :)

1. Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in Soft Beige
2. Garnier Caffeine Anti-dark circles roll on in Light
3. Maybelline Dreamlumitouch Concealer in Ivory
4. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original
5. Bourjois Délice de Soleil bronzer in Olive/tanned skin
6. Mac blush in Blushbaby
7. Mac Mineralized Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle
8. Rimmel Stay Matte setting powder in Silky Beige
9. Catrice Brow Pencil in A Date With Ashton
10. Maybelline The Rocket Mascara in Black
11. Rosebud Lip Balm in Minted Rose

This is also the actual order in which I apply them.
So first of all I cover my entire face with the foundation and don't forget to cover your neck too ! This is my absolute favourite foundation, it has such a good amount of coverage that I don't need a lot of concealer to follow up and it leaves a nice dewy finish because of the slight shimmer in it.
Afterwards I roll a bit of the Garnier Roll on under my eyes to conceal my dark under eye circles (Oh yes, my insomnia kicked back in, woohoow !)
Then it's time to conceal active blemishes and acne scaring. I have tried a lot of different concealers this summer, only to come back to this one, my absolute favourite for years.
Time to prime those eyes ! Last winter I went to Paris and splurged on this amazing primer potion by Urban Decay. These aren't available in Belgium, so whenever I travel I try to get my hands on one of them because it is the only primer that does the job for my extremely oily eyelids.
Contouring time ! For contour I have been loving this Bourjois bronzer, it blends like a dream and smells so good. I apply this underneath my cheekbones, on my forehead, neck and nose for a more defined face. Mac's Blushbaby was a splurge from last year's trip to Berlin, I hit pan on it and will definitely repurchase it. It is the perfect natural colour for my skin tone. This one goes right onto the apples of my cheeks.
Mac's MSF in Soft and Gentle is thé most gorgeous highlighter, it gives such a nice healthy glow to my face. I apply this on my cheekbones, nose and above my eyebrows.
Afterwards I blend everything together with my favourite setting powder by Rimmel. This one keeps me shine free all day.
Then it's time for brows, because my brows are a bit sparse in some areas. I really like this eyebrow pencil by Catrice and it seems to be the right shade for me, win !
(Typically I will do my eye make up in between these two steps)
I never leave the house without mascara and I have been loving the Rocket mascara by Maybelline this summer.
Don't forget to treat your lips to some moisturiser, my favourite is this Rosebud one in Minted Rose ;) (Afterwards it is time for some lip colour !)

If you would like me to do a full review on one of these products, let me know in the comments below ! If you have any questions concerning the products, don't hesitate to ask, I'd be glad to help you out ;)

Kelly

Beauty | Inspiration - Fall Lips

Oi !
Fall is drawing nearer and I am way more excited than I probably should be ! For today's beauty post I wanted to share some inspiration on fall lip colours ;)

I recently got into wearing bolder lipsticks and guys, it has become a slight obsession ... Yet another one haha ;)
This summer I have been wearing a lot of bright pink, red and coral, but I tend to go towards the darker mainly red/brown-ish colours for fall. Don't get me wrong, I think you can definitely continue rocking the brighter colours during fall, but for winter I would definitely go for a darker lip :)
I just love these looks above ! Neutral face make up and dark/bright red lips are definitely a look that I am eyeing for the upcoming seasons :)

To give you a bit of inspiration :

Kelly

Favorites | June

Helloooooo ! New month, new favorites, let's dig in !

The past month I have been very preoccupied with finals so I didn't get the chance to test a lot of things, so this will be a rather 'short' post ;)

Beauty
MAC All That Glitters (eyeshadow) | During revision and finals I did want to put on make up, I know that a lot of girls don't bother with make up during those periods, but I don't feel at ease without it and since I want to be really relaxed and comfy I just went ahead and came up with a very quick and easy make up look. I basically just stuck to my normal foundation and contouring routine and for eyes I chose one eyeshadow (obviously All That Glitters) and paired it with a nude eyeliner on my waterline and two coats of mascara. I love MAC eyeshadows because they are of such good quality, so they're definitely worth the extra money. Last year I treated myself to an eyeshadow pallet from MAC as a graduation present and All That Glitters is one of the eyeshadows I chose to put in there. It is a very rosy-peachy-glittery eyeshadow and looks perfect on its own. I like to put it all over my eyelid, in the inner tear duct and halfway under my bottom lashes (to make my eyes pop and to make them appear a little wider)

St.-Tropez Tanning Mousse | I am a super pale person and so I decided to get into fake tanning this summer, since I'm not really fond of laying there baking in the sun (after a terrible sunburn last year). I heard Ingrid, a.k.a. Missglamorazzi, raving about the St.-Tropez Tanning Mousse and guys, I fell in love ! This is soooo ridiculously easy ! The mousse applies flawlessly and your left with a pretty golden brown color even after having a shower. In the beginning I struggled with tanning my hands, because the bottle says that you should wash your hands thoroughly after you're done, but then my hands were left super pale. I find that it's the easiest to wash your hands properly after tanning and then apply just a normal layer on your hands afterwards and just as with the rest of your body, keep them dry for the next four hours :)

Catrice Eyebrow Pencil in A Date with Ashton | Ever since I have been into more neutral and nude make up looks, I have been loving fuller brows and this pencil really does the trick for me. It is thé perfect color for me. This is more of a dry pencil and applies very easily. A few years ago I tried to do my brows myself and ended up having too much space in between them and ruining my eyebrow shape, so now my brows are pretty sparse towards the middle part of my face. I focus on that area first, so just line the natural lines and fill that in and afterwards I lightly fill in the rest of my brows.

Fashion

Leggings | Nothing special here, I just love wearing leggings when I'm studying and my favourite one was this aztec printed one from Brandy Melville.

Lifestyle

Making 'moodboards' | As you guys know I am addicted to Tumblr and because I reblog quite a huge amount of pictures, I like to make little folders and moodboards on my computer to group them. I have a folder for inspiration on fashion, one for beauty and one for lifestyle. Check out my previous post to see my moodboard for July.

Vanilla Ice Cream | My favorite snack this month has been vanilla ice cream with or without sprinkles, hihi ^^ When it comes to ice cream I don't like to eat very exotic flavors and mostly opt for just the plain vanilla one, delicious as it is.

These are my favorites for June ! Hope you liked it ;)

Talk to you soon !

Favorites | May

Hi there !
I love the beginning of a new month ! Not only because I typically change up a few thing, but also because YouTube is filled with 'monthly favorites' videos, maybe even my favorite type of video :) So, I thought it would be nice to do a similar post on here to. Without further ado, here are my May favorites !

Beauty
Mac's Mineralized Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle | I had heard a lot about this highlighter and wanted to see for myself if it was worth the hype. Well, it is ! I absolutely love this one and it has become a part of my daily make up routine. This highlighting powder doesn't only look nice (just look at the beautiful rose gold swipes !) it really gives your face a beautiful healthy glow. I apply this with a little fluffy brush (Because I don't really have a suitable brush YET) right above the apples of my cheeks (the typical highlighting area), on my forehead, my cupid's bow and I draw a little invisible line on my nose (to make it appear a bit thinner)

Garniers's BB creme Miracle Skin Perfecter for combination to oily skin in Light | I have been wanting to try this one for a while, since I have very oily skin and I've never really found a BB creme that didn't make me shine at the end of the day. This one claims to keep you shine-free, so I was excited to try it out. Since I am mentioning this in my favorites, it obvious that I liked it, but I still have a blogpost waiting with a full review on it so you'll hear about my experience soon ;)

Essie's Turquoise & Caicos | This is actually the first ever more 'daring' color nailpolish I've ever bought and I absolutely love it ! Just looking at it makes me happy. It is a really pretty pastel turquoise-green color. Once again, post on this one coming soon !

Bioderma's Sensibio H20 | Once again, I had heard a lot about this make up remover and I was so excited when I was a bottle of it at the drugstore. I went ahead and bought the huge bottle as you can see and I really didn't regret it. Definitely worth the money ! I use this every night to take off my make up and more than any other product I've ever used this one removes make up so easily. I just take a cottonpad, put some of the product on and press it onto my eyelid for about ten seconds before swiping away almost everything I have on there at once. This thing works miracles !

Fructis' Shampoo & Conditioner in Pure Shine | I had heard Ingrid -or Missglamorazzi- rave about the fructis shampoo and since I needed a new one, I decided to try this one out. It is amazing, my hair looks so much better than when I used my previous shampoo by Syoss. It also feels a lot cleaner, especially now that I'm growing out my fringe and using a lot of styling products.

Lush's Ocean Salt Facial Scrub | The only Lush product that I owned was a lip scrub (which I love so much) but I wanted to try something new from Lush and I needed a new facial scrub, et voila Ocean Salt Scrub was added to my collection. There is (once again) still a full review coming up on this one, but I really love it and it has proven to be worth the money.

Fashion
Comfy Clothes | Since I am in the middle of revision and I don't really like spending the day in my pyjamas not wearing make up, I tend to just dress a bit more comfy and use minimal make up on. I've been wearing a lot of leggings, oversized sweaters and t-shirts. The ideal outfit to be at ease while studying :)

Lifestyle
Tumblr | I've been so obsessed with Tumblr these last few weeks, I can lose hours on there ! I actually wrote a blogpost about it and the fact that I only seem to tend towards one (or three) particular color of pictures on there. Read all about it over here.

Lipton Green Tea Intense Mint | I have given up my coffee addiction and changed it for a tea addiction. For the last few weeks I've been ending my days checking the internet, sipping on some tea and watching YouTube videos (it's an addiction). I just have this tea with a bit of honey and it is literally the best tea I've ever had (very easy thing, because I just recently started drinking tea)

I hope you liked this first favorites post :) Talk to you soon !
