Beauty | My current basic make up routine

Hi there !

Every time I do my make up I use the same base products and I thought it would be nice to share those products with you :)

1. Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in Soft Beige
2. Garnier Caffeine Anti-dark circles roll on in Light
3. Maybelline Dreamlumitouch Concealer in Ivory
4. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original
5. Bourjois Délice de Soleil bronzer in Olive/tanned skin
6. Mac blush in Blushbaby
7. Mac Mineralized Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle
8. Rimmel Stay Matte setting powder in Silky Beige
9. Catrice Brow Pencil in A Date With Ashton
10. Maybelline The Rocket Mascara in Black
11. Rosebud Lip Balm in Minted Rose

This is also the actual order in which I apply them.
So first of all I cover my entire face with the foundation and don't forget to cover your neck too ! This is my absolute favourite foundation, it has such a good amount of coverage that I don't need a lot of concealer to follow up and it leaves a nice dewy finish because of the slight shimmer in it.
Afterwards I roll a bit of the Garnier Roll on under my eyes to conceal my dark under eye circles (Oh yes, my insomnia kicked back in, woohoow !)
Then it's time to conceal active blemishes and acne scaring. I have tried a lot of different concealers this summer, only to come back to this one, my absolute favourite for years.
Time to prime those eyes ! Last winter I went to Paris and splurged on this amazing primer potion by Urban Decay. These aren't available in Belgium, so whenever I travel I try to get my hands on one of them because it is the only primer that does the job for my extremely oily eyelids.
Contouring time ! For contour I have been loving this Bourjois bronzer, it blends like a dream and smells so good. I apply this underneath my cheekbones, on my forehead, neck and nose for a more defined face. Mac's Blushbaby was a splurge from last year's trip to Berlin, I hit pan on it and will definitely repurchase it. It is the perfect natural colour for my skin tone. This one goes right onto the apples of my cheeks.
Mac's MSF in Soft and Gentle is thé most gorgeous highlighter, it gives such a nice healthy glow to my face. I apply this on my cheekbones, nose and above my eyebrows.
Afterwards I blend everything together with my favourite setting powder by Rimmel. This one keeps me shine free all day.
Then it's time for brows, because my brows are a bit sparse in some areas. I really like this eyebrow pencil by Catrice and it seems to be the right shade for me, win !
(Typically I will do my eye make up in between these two steps)
I never leave the house without mascara and I have been loving the Rocket mascara by Maybelline this summer.
Don't forget to treat your lips to some moisturiser, my favourite is this Rosebud one in Minted Rose ;) (Afterwards it is time for some lip colour !)

If you would like me to do a full review on one of these products, let me know in the comments below ! If you have any questions concerning the products, don't hesitate to ask, I'd be glad to help you out ;)

Love,
Kelly

Favourites | August

Beauty

Garnier Body Repair Repairing body milk | I use this body milk as an everyday moisturiser for my body and darn, it works miracles ! This one leaves my skin feeling so super soft and smells just hmmmm !

Palmolive Naturals Ultra Hydrating shower milk with olives and hydrating milk | I told you guys all about this one in my previous collective haul, so I'm not going to repeat myself BUT oh boy, I'm in love with this scent all over again !

Lush Grease Lightning (or Spotlight for the French version) anti acne treatment | I used this one every single night for the past few weeks because I was breaking out really badly and it worked perfectly. My skin has cleared up beautifully and isn't left looking really dry and dehydrated. A little pump of this one goes a long way and for a tea tree treatment this one smells really good. (I am currently testing out a tea tree face wash that smells so bad, ugh !)

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 111 (Kiss of Life) and 107 | I caved and bought a second one of these lipsticks ! I'm in love with the finish and smell of these ones. To me they kind of smell like watermelon if that makes any sense? They can be a bit drying because of the matt finish, so maybe it would be a good idea to wear some lip butter underneath ;) Swatches are down below !

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Light (I think, because the packaging doesn't say what shade this is) | This concealer is perfect if you want to acquire a natural make up look ! It doesn't give you a lot of coverage, but just enough to conceal normal size blemishes. I am crazy for neutral/natural make up looks, but I do need a lot of coverage because of active break outs and acne scars. So I use this one on those patches where I would typically get some redness or wherever I have some minor scars and then I use a more heavy concealer on active break outs, areas where some veins are noticeable and bigger scars.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream in Light | This has been my go to 'foundation' these last few weeks. It is a great moisturiser and gives you just the right amount of coverage for a natural looking face of make up. LOVE !

Fashion

Sweaters | Oh yes, it's me and my sweaters again ! Towards the end of august the mornings and evenings get more crisp here in Belgium and that's why I was finally able to wear my sweaters again, yay for fall !

My collared shirt from New Look | It just looks so cute and preppy and I pair it way too often with my nerd glasses ... Help !

My Little Marcel Phone Case | How cute is the font of this paired with the nautical print? I just can't ! (A lot of my friends will kill me for this, but just one more time to annoy them a little bit more hehe  The case always reminds me of this.)

Lifestyle

Food - Non sweetened granola with hazelnuts and dark chocolate | I was such a cereal kind of girl, but last year when I was trying to eat healthier I trained myself to eat granola. The past year I only ate sweetened granola, but now that I am training myself to eat less sweet I switched to the non sweetened ones and I don't even mind actually. I really like how natural this tastes with a bit of almond milk, perfect breakfast. Seriously, I could eat this all day everyday ...

Music - Daniela Andrade | A lot of YouTubers use Daniela's music in a lot of videos and I had been wondering for quite some time who this girl was whose music everyone was using. This month I discovered it and fell in love ! I bought her album and have it on replay all the time. It is just the perfect soothing music to either wake up or wind down. My favourite original song by Daniela is Any Other Way :)

TV Series - Pretty Little Liars | If you are with me on this one, you will definitely have seen the summer finale of PLL and will be totally freaking out over it. I genuinely have been addicted to this series for the past couple of years and honestly I am dying to finally know for sure who A is !

Book - Lady Of the Rivers | I have been reading this one this month because after watching The White Queen TV series, I really wanted to read one of Philippa Gregory's novels. So I opted for the 'prequel' to The White Queen, the story of Jacquetta Lady of The Rivers. I haven't finished it yet, so I'll review it when I actually finish it ;)

YouTube - Zoe Sugg a.k.a. Zoella | She is such a sweet girl, she has an awesome sense of fashion, that British accent, the fact that she kind of made me look at myself and realise that I might be having anxiety causing my way too often panic attacks, ... She's amazing ! I love how spontaneous she appears to be in her videos and think she does an amazing job at what she's doing :) Make sure you check my post about Zoe's fashion and her YouTube channel !

Random Technology - My iPhone 5 | I am in love with my phone ! For years I had been wanting to buy a beautiful white iPhone and this summer I have worked my bum of to finally be able to buy one. I am super proud that I earned it all by myself and love this phone to pieces. (My dad already thinks it is glued to my hand ...)

Those were my favourites for the month of August. I hope you all had a lovely last month of summer :)

Beauty | Haul - Collective

It has been a while since I did a beauty haul, so obviously the next one would be a gigantic one ;) This pile is the result of several shopping trips and drugstore visits with my mom, so without further ado, let's dig in !

Garnier Body Repair Repairing body milk | I was on the hunt for a body milk that I could use everyday when I hop out of the shower, so obviously one that wasn't far too expensive. This one is perfect, it isn't super expensive, the bottle is huge (400 ml) and it works like a dream.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Original | I use dry shampoo quite often because my hair doesn't have a lot of texture to it and squirting some dry shampoo in there helps a lot on that front. I previously owned the XXL volume version of this dry shampoo and it did a good job, but I didn't really need the volume so I decided to get the normal one this time.

L'Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray | This is such a classic when it comes to hairspray and though it is quite pricey, I love it so much ! I really love the scent of it and it doesn't make my hair look dusty or sticky.

Nivea Pure & Natural deodorant in Jasmine | I am quite difficult when it comes to deodorant and while I know that I should opt for roll on one, they don't quite work for me. During puberty a lot of people go through a stage where they sweat a lot and boy did I hate that stage. I have a super sensitive nose, so the moment when I start smelling my own sweat the littlest bit I will freak out completely. Needless to say that I am quite demanding when it comes to deodorant. But I really love this one, it is really gentle, smells super fresh and lasts all day.

Palmolive Naturals Ultra Hydrating shower milk with olives and hydrating milk | Once in a while I cave again for this one. I think it was about three years ago that I went to France with my chummy and her parents and discovered this shower cream. I tend to go towards this one every summer and thus it reminds me of a lot of summer memories. It smells so good and is super moisturising.

Garnier Pure Active Fruit Energy facial scrub in grapefruit and pomegranate | I am currently changing up my skincare routine after using the Clinique 3-steps system for two years, because I noticed that my skin really got used to it and it didn't work as well anymore. So I was on the hunt for a gentle scrub suitable for daily use and found this one. So far I've been liking it a lot. It is really gentle and smells so good ! Normally I don't like citrussy cents, but oh boy does this one smell nice !

The Body Shop Seaweed Clarifying Toner for combination to oily skin | I was on the hunt for a new toner and while I was picking up a new scrub at The Body Shop my eyes were drawn to this one. Aside the body butters and hand creams, I haven't tried a lot from The Body Shop so I was curious about the rest of their products. I like this so far, it is a lot more gentle than my Clinique toner and leaves my face feeling super clean and fresh.

Lush Grease Lightning (or Spotlight for the French version) anti acne treatment | Also part of changing up my routine was choosing another spot treatment for my occasional acne. After hearing Ingrid, a.k.a. MissGlamorazzi, and Joey Graceffa rave about this one, I really wanted to try it, so I went ahead and bought it ;) I can't really judge it yet, but I can tell you that this one smells amazing, oh dear lord !

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream in Light | I fell in love with this one last summer and resisted not to buy it all summer, but trying out other BB creams, none of them could make me forget this one. I caved !

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Light (I think, because the packaging doesn't say what shade this is) | I am really difficult when it comes to concealer, most concealers are just too dark for me (even the lightest shade !) I've tried a lot of different ones, but haven't found the perfect one yet. This one however has made a really good first impression ! It fits (Yeah, Fit Me, it's in the name isn't it?) my skin tone perfectly and doesn't leave patches on my skin. So I've been loving it so far.

Bourjous Colour Boost in Peach on the Beach | I am expanding my lip products collection and after hearing Zoe, a.k.a. Zoella, and my chum, Hannah, rave about this I decided that I needed this one in my life. Perfect colour, perfect consistency, love it !

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 111 (Kiss of Life) | I have been eyeing the Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks for a while and finally caved. I am truly, madly, deeply in love with these ones ! They smell amazing and the finish of them is so pretty. They look gorgeous, the colours are perfect and they last for such a long time ! I think I might buy another one pretty soon !

Maybelline Tenue & Strong PRO in Orange Couture (This is the French name, I couldn't find the English one, sowwy) | This is the first time that I tried drugstore nailpolish and I'm wondering why I waited so long ... This nailpolish was such a pretty opaque colour after only one coat, it is mind blowing ! Five days strong without chipping, woohoow !

If you're reading this, you made it to the end of this far too long haul, congratulations to you !
If you guys want me to do a review or tutorial on any of these products, let me know in the comments below ;)

Beauty | Haul

Hi guys ! Me and my chum Hannah went on a shopping craze again and this is the result.

Make up
Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Mascara - I needed a waterproof mascara because mascara tends to smudge on me in summer and I've been wanting to try the Scandal Eyes for a while, so there's that.
Rimmel Match Perfection foundation in Ivory - I'm out of foundation so I thought I'd give this one a try :)
Catrice Allround Concealer pallet - I knew Hannah loved this one and I've been wanting to try it for about a year I think, but everytime I wanted to get it, the store was out of it. They were finally in stock, so I thought it was a sign send by the universe that I should get it ... ;)

Hair
Garnier Ultra Doux conditioner with avocado oil and shea butter - I love the hair mask of this range and because my hair is quite damaged from going ombre, I thought it would be a good idea to get a nourishing and moisturising conditioner like this one :)
L'oréal professionnel Absolut Repair cellular serum - This serum is said to repair damaged hair ends so I thought it would be nice to treat my ends after being ombre-ed.
Kinactif hydrator nutri - This is actually a moisturising treatment for dry hair, but when I asked the girl at the shop for a detangler she recommended this one, because it makes your hair really easy to comb through apparently. I've never heard of this brand, but I thought I'd give it a try ;)

+ the Belgian magazine Flair (because they were out of Elles and I needed something to read, haha :)) and some Oral B dental floss.

I'll review a couple of these products once I used them a sufficient amount of time and if you want a specific review on one of these, don't hesitate to comment ;)

Talk to you soon !

Favorites | May

Hi there !
I love the beginning of a new month ! Not only because I typically change up a few thing, but also because YouTube is filled with 'monthly favorites' videos, maybe even my favorite type of video :) So, I thought it would be nice to do a similar post on here to. Without further ado, here are my May favorites !

Beauty
Mac's Mineralized Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle | I had heard a lot about this highlighter and wanted to see for myself if it was worth the hype. Well, it is ! I absolutely love this one and it has become a part of my daily make up routine. This highlighting powder doesn't only look nice (just look at the beautiful rose gold swipes !) it really gives your face a beautiful healthy glow. I apply this with a little fluffy brush (Because I don't really have a suitable brush YET) right above the apples of my cheeks (the typical highlighting area), on my forehead, my cupid's bow and I draw a little invisible line on my nose (to make it appear a bit thinner)

Garniers's BB creme Miracle Skin Perfecter for combination to oily skin in Light | I have been wanting to try this one for a while, since I have very oily skin and I've never really found a BB creme that didn't make me shine at the end of the day. This one claims to keep you shine-free, so I was excited to try it out. Since I am mentioning this in my favorites, it obvious that I liked it, but I still have a blogpost waiting with a full review on it so you'll hear about my experience soon ;)

Essie's Turquoise & Caicos | This is actually the first ever more 'daring' color nailpolish I've ever bought and I absolutely love it ! Just looking at it makes me happy. It is a really pretty pastel turquoise-green color. Once again, post on this one coming soon !

Bioderma's Sensibio H20 | Once again, I had heard a lot about this make up remover and I was so excited when I was a bottle of it at the drugstore. I went ahead and bought the huge bottle as you can see and I really didn't regret it. Definitely worth the money ! I use this every night to take off my make up and more than any other product I've ever used this one removes make up so easily. I just take a cottonpad, put some of the product on and press it onto my eyelid for about ten seconds before swiping away almost everything I have on there at once. This thing works miracles !

Fructis' Shampoo & Conditioner in Pure Shine | I had heard Ingrid -or Missglamorazzi- rave about the fructis shampoo and since I needed a new one, I decided to try this one out. It is amazing, my hair looks so much better than when I used my previous shampoo by Syoss. It also feels a lot cleaner, especially now that I'm growing out my fringe and using a lot of styling products.

Lush's Ocean Salt Facial Scrub | The only Lush product that I owned was a lip scrub (which I love so much) but I wanted to try something new from Lush and I needed a new facial scrub, et voila Ocean Salt Scrub was added to my collection. There is (once again) still a full review coming up on this one, but I really love it and it has proven to be worth the money.

Fashion
Comfy Clothes | Since I am in the middle of revision and I don't really like spending the day in my pyjamas not wearing make up, I tend to just dress a bit more comfy and use minimal make up on. I've been wearing a lot of leggings, oversized sweaters and t-shirts. The ideal outfit to be at ease while studying :)

Lifestyle
Tumblr | I've been so obsessed with Tumblr these last few weeks, I can lose hours on there ! I actually wrote a blogpost about it and the fact that I only seem to tend towards one (or three) particular color of pictures on there. Read all about it over here.

Lipton Green Tea Intense Mint | I have given up my coffee addiction and changed it for a tea addiction. For the last few weeks I've been ending my days checking the internet, sipping on some tea and watching YouTube videos (it's an addiction). I just have this tea with a bit of honey and it is literally the best tea I've ever had (very easy thing, because I just recently started drinking tea)

I hope you liked this first favorites post :) Talk to you soon !
