Lifestyle | Skate - Pennylove

It's time to break it to you guys, I'm not your average kind of girl, I'm sort of a tomboyish geek ... Think skating, Pokémon, Marvel, Adventure Time, ... Recently I have been rediscovering this side of myself and I am having such a great time. I thought it would be nice to share this side of me with you guys too. So first of ... skating.
Ever since I was little I have been the most clumsy person you will ever come across and that's the reason why my parents didn't really trust me alone around a skateboard. I did always like skateboards though and admired people skilled to stay straight up on those things. Roughly 10 years later, I finally got a skateboard for my birthday ! And it's not an average skateboard, it is a PENNYBOARD !
Pennyboards are these very small skateboards that are super easy to take with you everywhere you go. They come in all sorts of colours and you can even custom build on to your liking. I got a limited edition one for my birthday, a purple one with red weels and an aztec printed back, as you can see in the last picture. I love the living *peep* out of it, but I still need to learn how to properly "cruise" on it. My plan is to ride my Penny from the train station to school every day. But first I need to practice a little more in my safe own street ;)

Love,
Kelly

Beauty | Inspiration - Messy Waves

I have been on the lookout for a new hairstyle, because I found myself wearing the same updo every day. I do love my long ombre-ed hair, but I've become quite out of inspiration with how to style it. Actually I am looking for a quick style that I can manage to do in max 15 mins before leaving for school.
I stumbled across this style and loved it instantly ! My hair is pretty straight, but the shorter parts, like what's left of my fringe, have a mind of their own and just point every direction. So messy waves seem ideal to me. This look has much of a 'I woke up like diz' vibe, but it looks put together at the same time.
My best ideas for this look are basically randomly curling sections of hair, big or small, front or back, just very random. Then I would use some sea salt spray to acquire the messy part and then setting it with hairspray.
I'm going to give this a try and report back to you !

Love,
Kelly

Fashion | Inspiration - Glasses

So I've always had this strange thing with glasses. I don't have very bad vision, but I have a strange desire to wear glasses. I know people with glasses always complain and prefer wearing contacts. But really, I'm jealous of glasses-wearing-people, because they have yet another accessory to play with.
One of the reasons why I love summer, is that you have the sunglasses as an extra accessory. Far too often, I start wearing my pair way too early and hold on to them way too long. I did buy some fake thick black frames with plastic transparent 'glass' last summer, but I stopped wearing them because it's kind of obvious that those are not the real deal.
Nonetheless I wanted to share some glasses inspiration with you guys ! I really like the kind of semi-transparent brownish printed frames, like you can see in the pictures above. In terms of shapes I prefer the shape of the first pair, straight lines but oversized.

I am actually looking for a pair of fake glasses that look like they're real. So if you guys have any suggestions, please do leave them in the comments below :)

Love,
Kelly

P.S. : Sorry for not posting Lifestyle last week, but my internet was down the whole weekend, so I didn't really have opportunity to post. Scusi !

Beauty | Inspiration - Winged Eyeline

This is going to be a very quick post, since I'm typing this at school, because I'm a bit early to class, unfortunately it was the only moment I could find to write a post before Thursday.
For ages I have envied woman with the skills to beautifully apply winged eyeliner and I still haven't figured the trick out myself. There are three people in particular that I envy the most for their skills : Lauren Conrad, Zoe Sugg and Marzia Bisognin.
I really love a kind of thick line just above the lash line that wings out perfectly towards the brow end (as you can see in the pictures above) and my plan is to practice until it's perfect. I'm going to try different brands, different ways, different poses and I'll report back at you every time.
For my summer make up look I want to create a look with nice and fresh face make up, a soft lip color and for the eyes, just some winged eyeliner and mascara.

Mission started, soldier Geuens signing out !

Love,
Kelly
